At Carleton, I majored in Humanities but was always very interested in Greek and Roman studies so I chose it as my minor.
This minor allowed me to explore my passion and gain a well-rounded knowledge in Ancient History and Literature both in class and practically as well. In 2019, I had the chance to take a Summer CLCV course in Greece with a small group of students and faculty which gave me the opportunity to connect in real time with the content that I was learning.
Carleton offers a diverse selection of topics within Greek and Roman studies, and my interests expanded to include topics I had not even previously known existed. I am very grateful to the faculty for inspiring me to pursue new courses of study and helping me to grow as an academic.
Following my graduation from Carleton, I will be pursuing a Master’s degree at Cambridge university with a focus on Classical Reception.
