Congratulations to our Greek and Roman Studies Majors graduating this week!

Below is a profile of one of our grads.

Charlotte Parry

What was your favourite aspect of being a part of GRS?

I loved how tight knit the department is and how much professors advocate and inspire their students.

What was your favourite reading from a GRS course?

My favourite reading was the book The Early Roman Expansion into Italy by Nicola Terrenato, this was for a book review in the CLCV3307 A course with Dr. Banducci

What will you miss the most about Carleton and GRS?

I will miss the community and kinship of our school and of our department!

Do you have any tips or advice for 1st year GRS students?

Try to put yourself out there and attend events or activities, it’s fun and a great way to make new friends especially within the department! Also don’t be afraid to chat with your professors!

What are your plans for the future?

I am starting graduate school at the University of Toronto doing a MSc in Evolutionary Anthropology! Also planning on excavating and making new connection in the archaeology world.
