Ainsley Lewis
Undergraduate Student
Ainsley is a third-year Health Sciences student concentrating in Global Health and has been a part of the HWERG team since the summer of 2022. As a research assistant, Ainsley has written several literature reviews on trauma-informed teaching and online learning module development, two of which served as the basis for a trauma-informed pedagogy workshop for instructors at Carleton. She has also participated in data collection at key HWERG community partnership sites in Ottawa; this includes conducting, transcribing, and coding bilingual semi-structured interviews and focus groups and delivering questionnaires. After her undergraduate degree, Ainsley hopes to pursue a master’s degree and continue researching her passions, namely GBV survivor resource innovations and trauma-informed pedagogy through a feminist lens.
