Jenna Seyidoglu

Jenna is pursuing a Bachelor of Health Sciences Honours degree with a concentration in Disability and Chronic Illness at Carleton University. Her past research involved a visual content analysis of the representation of athletes on North American running magazines and the societal impact of their representation in the Journal of Communication and Sport. Her current research interests include social justice and equity issues, specifically involving access to trauma and violence-informed interventions for immigrant and refugee populations in Canada. During her undergraduate studies, she has been involved in the Research Institute at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario as well as the Youth Ottawa Carleton Immigrant Services Organization as a volunteer.
