Sophia Ali

I am a 1st year graduate student, currently completing my MSc in Health Sciences with Dr. Francine Darroch. My research will primarily focus on trauma-informed care available to women in marginalized populations. I have previously completed my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at York University in 2020 and I am looking forward to taking on more of an equity-orientated approach to health sciences. I have previously worked at Women’s Health In Women’s Hands, a women’s health centre, in addressing the barriers present for women of color in accessing health services.  I hope to continue to advocate with and for these communities through my work and research.
