Some warm congratulations to Lale Eskicioğlu, PhD candidate in the Cultural Mediations program, on the successful oral defence of her doctoral dissertation! Titled Beyond Postcolonialism: Urban and Social Realist Turn in Indian and Nigerian Literatures, her dissertation investigates contemporary city literature, with a focus on Mumbai and Lagos in the works of several Indian and Nigerian writers.
