Out of 230 TA nominations for the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award, Anastasia Gharib was one of the few who received the award’s honourable mention.
This award celebrates the contributions and support Teaching Assistants give to the undergraduate programs in their disciplines, as well as their roles in establishing a positive learning environment and in implementing innovative teaching practices.
From the Awards Committee: “The awards committee was impressed with the strength and versatility of nominations as well as Carleton TAs’ dedication to enhancing student learning. We received a large number of highly competitive nominations this year, but could only recognize five winners. Based on the information included in multiple nomination letters and supporting documents, the committee unanimously agreed to recognize Monirosharieh’s dedication, passion, and excellence in teaching, as well as the work of Anastassia.”
