MIPIS student Tyler Valdron recently became a successful recipient of an Ontario Graduate Scholarship. His research area focuses on Insurance and Corporate Risk Management relating to critical infrastructure as well as international development. His research project aims to explore the link between insurance coverage of infrastructure in developing economies and economic resilience. The project will also focus on the insuring behaviors of infrastructure owners and stakeholders.

Valdron came to the MIPIS Program with an interdisciplinary background, where he recently completed his Bachelor of Science (Hons.) with a focus on physics and an additional concentration in policy. Valdron is active in the MIPIS Co-op option, and is in the process of building his scholastic portfolio to include CIP and CRM professional designations.
