The Migration and Diaspora Student Society (MDSS) is a network of undergraduate and graduate students at Carleton University interested in migration and diaspora studies. The goal of MDSS is to bring together students from different disciplines and degree-levels to voice and exchange ideas with like minded students and faculty members who are advancing knowledge in relevant areas of research.
The society hosts an annual student research conference for students to present their migration-related research and receive feedback, as well as smaller social events throughout the year. It also promotes the many migration-related events run by the Migration and Diaspora Studies initiative and other initiatives on campus and throughout Ottawa.
