Setting up iTunes with a Credit Card
To add apps (or songs) to your iPad or iPhone, you need an iTunes account. Setting up an iTunes account, normally requires setting up a method of payment—e.g. a credit card or an iTunes gift card:

Or you may wish to create a 2nd iTunes account so you can FaceTime from one of your iOS devices (e.g. iPhone, iPad) to a 2nd of your iOS devices—something you can’t do if they have the same iTunes account.
