We demo 3 of iCloud’s features today:
1. Find iPhone
– go to icloud.com from any computer, browser in the world, sign-in with iCloud account, locate/ping my iPad, iPhone
2. Notes App on iPad
– make a note on iPad, auto-sync’d to icloud.com, accessible from any computer, browser in the world, sign-in with iCloud account
Tip: you can have multiple Notes “accounts”, one for each
email account, configured on your iPad
Advice: Simplify Notes synchronization by turning off Notes
syncing in all your email accounts but your iCloud account.
3. iCloud backup on iPad
– iPad must be plugged in, locked, on WiFi for automatic backup
– Can also force backup regardlesss with “Backup now” button.
– 5GB free backup space provided free, but can buy more backup space.
– Can disable backup per App

iCloud account:

• Sign in with Apple ID
– Have you ever bought anything on iTunes on your PC or Mac?
If yes, you can use that ID.
eg. joeblow@gmail.com, joeblow@hotmail.com
if forget userid or password:
– forgot.apple.com
• If your Apple ID above doesn’t end in @icloud.com, you’ll be
prompted to make one on your iPad when you enable iCloud
– www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html
– this puts you into the iCloud system; uses the same password
as your iTunes AppleID above, and you can use either
interchangeably: eg. joeblow@gmail.com, joeblow@icloud.com
