Mostafa Taha is currently an Assistant Professor in the Systems and Computer Engineering Department of Carleton University. He holds a Ph.D. degree from the Secure Embedded Systems Lab in the Computer Engineering Department of  Virginia Tech (VT). He worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Vernam Crypto Group of Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) as well as the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of Western University. He also worked as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Engineering Department of Assiut University. His research focuses on the design of Security-Aware Architectures for Critical Embedded Systems. He serves as a program committee member of several conferences in this field including DATE, WESS, and SPACE. He is a member of both IEEE and IACR.
