The social work chapter of the Carleton University Alumni Association provides social work alumni with an opportunity network with each other and to help future alumni by participating in mentoring, recruiting, co-op and job placement programs. The chapter kicks off the new year with a new president at the helm: Erin Richards, BSW/07, who is completing her master’s degree and working as a teaching assistant, will provide a strong connection between the school of social work and the chapter. Richards picks up from outgoing president Bill Dare, BA/87, MSW/92, whose dedicated work over the past two years reinvigorated the social work chapter.
In 2009, the chapter will collaborate with faculty, students, and graduates to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the school. Log in to http://alumni.carleton.ca/socialwork to find out about upcoming alumni events, activities and opportunities, and to reconnect with former classmates.
