Carleton generations – Kroeger College student Raphael Guevin-Nicoloff welcomes guests to the gala while College director Christopher Dornan looks on.

The Arthur Kroeger College Awards for Public Affairs celebrated their 10th anniversary this year. Over the past decade more than 50 individuals and organizations have honoured the College and its namesake by accepting these awards recognizing exemplary service in the public good. This year’s winners were a life-long public servant who, among other accomplishments, was one of the architects of national medicare; an academic whose energetic advocacy has been instrumental in shaping the policies of the digital present and future; a journalist who is a national institution in his own right; an agency devoted to integrating new Canadians into employment commensurate with their training, aptitude and ambition; and a corporate eminence who helped to ensure that Canada did not slip into perilous recession in 2009.

As always, the College thanks its corporate sponsors – Sun Life Financial, The Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company, Alterna Savings, TD Bank Financial Group, and CN – without whose support these awards would not be possible.
