Two (2) Year Appointment with Potential for Extension

Applications are invited for a 2‐year Postdoctoral Fellowship in statistical genomics and/or
machine learning at Dr. Xuekui Zhang’s lab at the University of Victoria. The PDF will
contribute towards a combination of multiple funded projects according to his/her research
interests. These projects will be conducted in collaboration with Canadian government agencies
(Canadian Food Inspection Agency or National Research Council Canada) or universities (UBC
medicine school or various UVic departments).

Requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in a related discipline (e.g. statistics or computer
science). Strong programming skills and writing still are essential. Knowledge of genomics is an
asset.
