Founder and Executive Director of New Life Project Inc.
Brenda is passionate about reaching out to women and youth, developing their lives, and making a difference, with agape love through mentoring, and building their self-worth and self-esteem.
She created the New Life Women’s World Forum for women in North America to have a safe place to discuss topics that educate and empower women for their next step in fulfilling their dreams. She has sponsored several women and children educational and rehabilitation programs in Canada. She also established NewLife Designs as a channel of education about the Black culture and its values through crafts and fashion, and the NewLife French Tutoring to help her participants learn French. She recently founded Victoire Consulting, a translation, tutoring and decoration company. Her experience working with women and youth over the years has helped her to relate with residents in the Ottawa community as she is determined to see women rise to a place of accomplishment and establish their businesses as Entrepreneurs. Brenda runs a Vocational Training in sewing (Fashion and Design) and Entrepreneurship program so that women can acquire skills and set up home-based businesses. In 2020 she was one of Honorees of the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women, received Leadership Award from the Black History Ottawa in 2021, RBC Women of Influence Nominee in 2022, and African Canadian Association of Ottawa Community Award in 2018.
