Expectations as a QES Scholar during the Mobility Period

Through the QES advance scholars program, I expect to benefit from the library resources and exposure through the attachment phase which will introduce me to researchers and intellectuals in partner countries from whom I may draw some learnings. My participation in the program will improve my capacity in climate change research. I expect to gain through proper coaching and mentorship as I develop my research proposal for my Ph.D. studies. I will use this as an opportunity to build and improve my network with research fellows from other countries.

The QES Project and Advancement of your Career

I hope to attain professional growth in my career after the completion of my studies. With a vision to becoming a lecturer shortly my research capabilities in writing project proposals for funding, writing for publications, and building collaborative research, will be advanced. This will also widen my knowledge in climate change resilience and adaptation and how that could be related to helping cocoa farmers better adapt to the changing climate. I will also be ready after the program to assume leadership roles in Ghana, Africa, and the world at large.
