Please send your course outlines via email for Winter 2025 no later than Monday December 9th.  Course outlines must be available to registered students no later than December 30th 2024 but the University and dept will be closed for the holiday season from the end of business hours on Monday December 23rd and reopen on Friday January 3rd.  Please do not include the location of your class in the outline!

Academic Dates and Deadlines show all the relevant dates and deadlines for the Fall term and Winter terms.

New for Winter 2025:
New ministry directive that requires that the cost of all learning materials to be listed on each syllabus. To be implemented January 2025.

You do not need to include many regulations common to the University, I will add the College of the Humanities Regulations at the end of your outline before I post it.  Please do not include locations of your classroom on your outlines.

Please refer to the FASS Teaching Regulations page for this year and bookmark it. (This page will be updated by the associate dean, please check for new information). You will find the minimal course outline template there as well as all the information you will need about course regulations in general throughout the year.

Note that the Academic Integrity Policy (in the regulations) was substantially revised in 2021. The most recent version no longer treats “submission of substantially the same piece of work for academic credit more than once without permission” as an academic integrity violation. If you wish to prohibit students from re-using their own work, or to require students to cite such work, or to seek your permission before doing so, this must be clearly stated in the course outline or assignment instructions.
