Dr. Sepideh Mirshekar completed her PhD in 2025 as a member of our research group. Her doctoral research focused on developing analytical and numerical models to predict the load-carrying capacity and failure modes of timber–concrete composite structures. Before joining Carleton, she earned her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Structural Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology in Iran. She is currently working as a Structural Engineer in Toronto.
