Mohammadreza Salek Faramarzi is a Ph.D. student in our research group. He obtained his Master’s degree in Earthquake Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in Iran, after graduating with Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at Shahid Beheshti University. His research interests include earthquake engineering, performance-based seismic design, structural dynamics, and nonlinear modeling of structures. Currently, Mohammadreza is working in collaboration with the National Research Council Canada to study the effect of spectral shape and ground motion selection on the seismic performance of buildings in Canada. During the past years, he served as a Teaching Assistant for several courses including Statics, Structural Analysis, and Design of Reinforced Concrete Components. In his spare time, Mohammadreza enjoys playing tennis and soccer.
