Mohammadreza Salek Faramarzi is a Postdoctoral Fellow in our research group. In collaboration with the National Research Council Canada, he is investigating the effects of spectral shape and ground motion selection on the seismic performance of buildings in Canada. Mohammadreza completed his PhD in 2025 in our research group on the same topic, and his thesis has been nominated for a medal in recognition of his outstanding contributions.
Prior to joining our group, he obtained his Master’s degree in Earthquake Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran, and his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University. He has served as a Teaching Assistant for several courses, including Statics, Structural Analysis, and Design of Reinforced Concrete Components.
In his spare time, Mohammadreza enjoys playing tennis and soccer.
