If you are interested in the behaviour of structures and are a motivated, high-achieving student, we believe there is a place for your ideas and skills in our research group!

We offer fully-funded M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. positions for both domestic and international students with a strong academic background. We also offer paid summer research positions for 3rd- and 4th-year domestic undergraduate students to gain research experience.

M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university with a strong GPA. Ph.D. applicants should have a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or Earthquake Engineering from a reputable university, with a total GPA of at least 10/12 (candidates in the final semester of their studies will also be considered).

Applicants whose primary language is not English should have a language test score of at least 95 overall with 23 in writing for TOEFL iBT, or 6.5 overall with 6.5 in writing for IELTS.

M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. applicants should also have demonstrated the ability to write conference or journal papers in English.
