SBES possesses extensive simulation capabilities, has developed a laboratory for conducting experiments under controlled boundary conditions, and has recently designed and constructed a full-scale research house on the Carleton campus.  In addition to these facilities, SBES researchers have collaborated with colleagues at the National Research Council of Canada and at CanmetENERGY to make use of their unique building-energy research facilities.
