Maryanne Bright

As Communications Officer, Maryanne is responsible for creating, implementing, and evaluating the strategic communications, public relations, marketing, and social media needs of the University Secretariat, Board of Governors, and Senate.

Maryanne is a proud Carleton alumna who has ten years of professional experience in corporate and public brand management, writing and editing, and digital marketing.

Following a brief stint in the fast-paced world of PR, she transferred to the non-profit sphere, where she has remained, working for organizations such as Amnesty International, Canadian Parents for French, and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

In her spare time, you can either find her lost in a good book, volunteering with the Sexual Support Center of Ottawa, or in search of her next big thrift/antique find.
