Dear colleagues,

We are very excited in soliciting applications for 1 postdoctoral position in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Carleton University, Ottawa, beginning on September 1, 2020 (or a mutually agreed date). The fellow will work in the area of computational neuroscience and vividness in conscious artificial systems under the direct co-supervision of Professors Angelo Mingarelli (Carleton, Mathematics and Statistics) and Amedeo D’Angiulli (Carleton, Neuroscience & IBE-UNESCO)  joining a multidisciplinary vibrant  team led by Professors Robin Chhabra (Carleton, Canada Research Chair, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering,) and Maryam Mehri Dehnavi (University of Toronto, Canada Research Chair, Computer Science). The team performs research on brain-inspired conscious and intelligent artificial systems funded by New Frontiers in Research Fund – Exploration.

Applicants should have (or are expected to complete by September 1, 2020) a Ph.D. in Mathematics / Neuroscience / Artificial Intelligence or related areas, and must be committed to excellence in research. Experience in the field of computational neuroscience is an asset. The successful candidate will be expected to do research in collaboration with a team of faculty members at both Carleton University and the University of Toronto.
