Professor Steve Ulrich — Director of the Spacecraft Robotics and Control Laboratory — was appointed as Associate Editor for The Journal of the Astronautical Sciences (JASS) for a three-year term effective 1 January 2021 through 31 December 2023.
The official journal of the American Astronautical Society (AAS) since 1954 and published by Springer Nature, JASS is devoted to the science and technology of astronautics. The journal presents significant new results and important insights in all areas of astrodynamics, celestial mechanics, atmospheric flight mechanics, as well as navigation and guidance.
Prof. Maruthi Akella, the Editor-in-Chief of JASS, selected Ulrich based on his professional record and excellent reputation within the space flight mechanics community. As an Associate Editor Prof. Ulrich will be responsible for peer-review of manuscripts received in the areas of spacecraft guidance and control, adaptive and learning systems, spacecraft formation flying, autonomy, and computer vision applications for space robotics.
