Sujoy Chatterjee is a technology consultant with Ernst and Young specializing in privacy and data ethics. He is a graduate of MAPA and holds a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in addition to undergraduate degrees from York University and the University of Toronto.

Sujoy has a keen interest in technology implementation and how government uses technology for service delivery. He worked for several years as a technical policy advisor at the municipal level, advising on privacy, data governance, technology implementation, risk management, and physical security. He also has experience working with the federal government in the deployment of new technologies that collect and retain personal information in novel use cases.

His consulting work primarily focuses on global organizations in technology, health care, transportation, and consumer goods where Artificial Intelligence is used in the analysis of personal data. Sujoy advises companies on the ethical use of data and what safeguards must be in place for privacy and data protection.

He has taught Ethics for Public Policy (PADM 4230/5230) at Carleton University and regularly designs and delivers training in privacy, ethics, professionalism, and technology subjects through conference speaking engagements and enterprise-wide training programs.
