Vlasios Melessanakis currently teaches various courses in public policy and regulation, most notably a graduate course on ‘Bank Regulation and the Global Financial Crisis of 2008’, the only such course of its kind currently in Canada.
In his official federal Government of Canada capacity, Vlasios is the Managing Director of Policy Architecture Renewal at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada (OSFI). He leads a team tasked with modernizing OSFI’s regulatory design, practices, processes, and approach for banks, insurance companies and pension plans.
