Participating in an international exchange is an incredibly rewarding experience, as this is a chance to truly immerse yourself in a new culture, experience your academic subject through a new lens, and develop intercultural skills (which are of increasing value to employers). Carleton University offers an exchange program with approximately 110 partner institutions in more than 30 countries around the globe. This is an opportunity for students to study full-time at a partner institution for a single term (fall or winter) or for a full academic year.
Exchange students pay tuition to Carleton University and earn credits toward their Carleton degree. Applications for the fall 2024 – winter 2025 academic year will accepted between Wednesday, October 4 to Sunday, December 17, 2023.
Join the International Student Services Office (ISSO) as they host information sessions throughout the fall term to help students prepare for their exchange applications; these sessions are available both in-person and virtually. The next sessions are Monday, September 18 on campus and Tuesday, September 19 through MS Teams.
