You are invited to celebrate the naming of Teraanga Commons (formerly Residence Commons) on Monday, February 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Teraanga Commons conference rooms 270-274.

In an effort to recognize the diversity on our campus, Carleton engaged in consultation and conversation with African, Caribbean and Black communities to develop a name for this building which is a central hub of student life.

Teraanga (pronounced tare-ang-gah) is a Senegalese term from the Wolof language, that means sharedness, civility and honour where generosity of spirit is emphasized.

This event is open to all members of the Carleton community. PleaseĀ register to confirm your attendance.
