The Carleton Conservation Collective and Sustainability Carleton are pleased to present an annual BioBlitz event. Students, Staff, Faculty and Community Members will be led on nature walks across our campus, to identify as many species as we can. There have already been over 1,500 observations and over 500 species observed on Carleton’s biodiversity inventory on Carleton’s iNaturalist. Please download the iNaturalist app beforehand if possible.

The hope is that the BioBlitz will highlight the rich diversity that is all around us on camp and help members of our community, especially those new to Ottawa, learn about local species identification. In addition, the intent is to allow for the use of iNatrualist year-round for biodiversity identification by the Carleton Community.

The event is being offered at 2 different times on 18th September – 8am and 12 noon. Meeting at Nesbitt. Please complete the form to register.
