Carleton University is excited to announce its participation in the 2024 Campus Race to Zero Waste Competition (CR2ZW) from January 22 to March 23!
While the main competition spans 8 weeks, we’re also participating in special one-time categories, one of them being a zero-waste basketball game day, which assesses schools based on their recycling and waste minimization efforts during the games.
Mark your calendars for January 27th, as we host a Zero-Waste Game Day during both the women’s and men’s basketball games.
During the games, look out for dedicated volunteers at waste stations, ready to assist you in sorting materials into the four streams: organics, containers, paper, and landfill. And get ready for a halftime activity, during both games, where you will have a chance to participate and win exciting prizes!
