Jonathan works with students living in residence, offering individual counselling support. He has also been a facilitator of the Walking in Nature group.
Jonathan has been working as a Residence Counsellor at Carleton for 8 years, with previous experience as a Carleton counsellor for off-campus students, as well as, various roles in community practice. Jonathan draws from elements of different practice areas in his counselling approach, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused and mindfulness-focused techniques.
Jonathan embraces working with all students, with an emphasis on connecting with and understanding personal experiences, and provides a warm and safe environment to work alongside students to achieve their goals. He also focuses on the importance of human connections and shared experiences.
