On March 26, the Aga Khan Foundation of Canada and Carleton University’s School of Public Policy and Administration launched their co-sponsored seminar series on innovative finance for development. Opened by the Foundation’s President Khalil Sharif, and moderated by the School’s Director, Susan Phillips, the inaugural seminar focused on an examination of the global impact investing industry, presented by SPPA faculty member Ted Jackson and consultant Karim Harji, a graduate of the School. Attended by more than 120 participants at the Aga Khan Delegation Building and online around the world, the proceedings will be posted on the Foundation’s website. The next seminar, to be held on April 30 in partnership with the MasterCard Foundation, will focus on lessons from the international field of microfinance. For more information, click here.
