Professor Ted Jackson has been appointed to Canada’s National Advisory Board to the G8 Social Impact Investment Taskforce.  A faculty member in the School of Public Policy and Administration, he also serves as Senior Research Fellow with the Carleton Centre for Community Innovation.

The Taskforce, announced by UK Prime Minister David Cameron in June 2013 and headed by Sir Ronald Cohen, is working with experts across the major advanced economies to develop policies to expand the impact investment market.

Members of the Canadian National Advisory Board include leaders in finance, philanthropy, public policy, civil society and academia. The MaRS Centre for Impact Investing in Toronto serves as secretariat to the Board, which is charged with reporting in June 2014.
