3ci co-director Peter Andree has launched the second season of his Ecopolitics podcast series (co-hosted with University of Ottawa Professor Ryan Katz Rosene). https://www.ecopoliticspodcast.ca/season-2/
The first three episodes include interviews with Dr. Hayley Stevenson, Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at l’Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Buenos Aires, Dr. Simon Dalby, Professor at the Balsillie School of International Affairs, Wilfrid Laurier University, and Dr. Raul Pacheco-Vega, Associate Professor with the Methods Lab at the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO) Sede Mexico.
Haley and Simon help define the field of global ecopolitics, delve into the concept of environmental security, and call ‘bullshit’ on greenwashing policies. Raul helps listeners get a grasp of the differences between theories and methods when conducting research in Global Environmental Politics. He also shares his thoughts on theories of common pool resources, and explains the difference between commons that have intuitive value, and those that only have value once re-established (aka the ‘negative commons’).
