3ci is partnering with Kā Waimaero | Ngāi Tahu Centre at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, to host “The Future of Māori and First Nations Fisheries – A Film Screening and Discussion”. Kā Waimaero is an indigenous research centre established in partnership with the Māori tribe Ngāi Tahu, whose tribal territory makes-up two thirds of the South Island of New Zealand.
The event will be hybrid, with in-person attendees in Aotearoa, New Zealand first watching the screening of “Lake Superior Our Helper: Stories from Batchewanaung Anishinabek Fisheries” followed by the discussion where online participants will join. A link to access the film will be sent to registered participants two weeks before the discussion.
