Karim Harji is a Co-Founder and Director at Purpose Capital. He has led several field-building initiatives in social finance in Canada, including the “State of The Nation: Impact Investing in Canada” report, and publications on impact measurement, social finance for the settlement and immigration sector, retail impact investing, and the policy context for social finance. He also co-founded SocialFinance.ca. At the global level, he co-authored the strategic assessment of the Rockefeller Foundation’s $40m Impact Investing Initiative, and was on the Impact Measurement Working Group of the G8 Social Impact Investment Taskforce. He serves on the Boards of the Responsible Investment Association and CanadaHelps, and is a Senior Research Associate at the Carleton Centre for Community Innovation.
