Rheann, currently in her second year pursuing a Master’s degree in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership within the School of Public Policy and Administration, possesses an unwavering passion for philanthropy and firmly believes in its ability to bring about meaningful change. Her ambition is to carve out a career that spans academia and professional practice, dedicated to advancing the third sector. Equipped with honed skills in research, administration, and coordination, she aims to drive positive macroeconomic shifts. Recognized for her outstanding work, Rheann was awarded the Social Innovation Fellowship for her ongoing research supervised by Dr. Tessa Hebb, exploring perceptions of risk associated with community bond investments. Prior to her current pursuits, Rheann achieved her Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience, graduating with High Distinction. She also served as the Board Secretary of the Young Person’s Cabinet at the Women’s Brain Health Initiative for two years and held a contract research position at the MakeWay Foundation, focusing on foundation investment transparency. Looking ahead, Rheann envisions pursuing a PhD to deepen her understanding of strategies to enhance the economic landscape of the third sector.
