Robin Wisener is a Senior Policy Analyst in the Social Innovation Unit of the Policy Innovation Division at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Since joining the Government of Canada six years ago, Robin’s work has focused on enabling policy for building social innovation capacity in the not-for-profit sector. In particular, Robin has leveraged social finance, social enterprise, multi-sector partnerships and emerging technology to support the development and implementation of new policy approaches. With IRCC since 2014, Robin continues to apply her social innovation policy work with the objective of helping improve government’s ability to create innovative interventions for immigrant serving organizations and advance outcomes for their clients. Recently that work included designing and leading the Social Finance Feasibility Study from the federal government side of the project. Before joining government, Robin was a strategic planning and engagement consultant for the not-for-profit sector. Robin also worked in the private sector marketing and product development for technology products for international markets. Robin has a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a specialization in not-for-profits and social policy from Carleton University and a BA in Economics and Political Science from McGill University.
