MAAE 2300: Fluid Mechanics I

June 18, 2020

Time to read: 1 minutes

Instructor: Kristen R. Schell

This course introduces fluid properties. Topics include: kinematics and dynamics of fluid motion; concepts of streamline, control volume, steady and one-dimensional flows; Euler; Bernoulli; steady flow energy; momentum; moment of momentum equations; fluid statics; pressure distribution in fluid at rest; hydrostatic forces on plane and curved surfaces; buoyancy. Students will apply these concepts to real-world problems. Please consult the Registrar’s Office or contact the instructor for further details.
