A. Esmélia Catcha-Picard graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology, Florida, USA. They then earned their M.A.Sc. in Sustainable Energy from Carleton University in 2024. They began their further studies at Carleton University in 2024 and are currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. Through modelling, simulation, and optimization, their research with APEX aims to accelerate the deep decarbonization of energy systems, with a focus on the role of hydrogen and other energy storage technologies in the transition.
