The group has been busy and updates have been delayed! The past academic year has been chalk full of great happenings and events,
- Niloufar Marnani completed her Graduate Studies in Environmental Applications of Graphene Oxide and is currently working with Hydrogen in Motion as a technical applications specialist.
- In the Fall, Dr. Basu was able to go on a site visit to Longido, Tanzania and connect with community members and our water project coordinator, Tepian after a long covid delay.
- Several Graduate and Undergraduate students participated in a co-training pilot with Yukon University that brought engineering student and Northern Operators together to learn and train in small systems water treatment.
- Masters student Lydia Hoffmann was a finalist in Carleton’s three minute thesis competition and is just about to graduate this term.
- And the group welcomed new and amazing Banting Postdoc Kero Riad to the team, where he specializes in nanotechnology and graphene based materials (amongst many other things!). We also had a little 1st year birthday party for our youngest honorary research group member SorenĀ – son of PHD student Abbass Rasouli.
