During their final class of the fall term, our cohort of first year MA students showed how very diverse and deeply interesting research proposals can be in the School of Canadian Studies, a School engaged in redefining Canada as an object of critical research.

Students clearly gave much careful thought to their projects, met with librarians and archivists, took time to position themselves within their community and within academia, and in this seminar, critically interrogated each others’ research processes, methods, definitions, and helped to practice and hone their presentation skills.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our first year MA’s to be able to present the work done in CDNS 5001 and give it a professional spin.
