Two basic Canadian online resources for heritage conservation:
- The Standards and Guidelines of the Conservation of Historic Places in Canada
- Canadian Register of Historic Places
Relevant CU library subject guides include:
- Canadian Studies
- Indigenous Studies
- Heritage Sites, Parks and Conservation Areas
- Ottawa Resource Room
An increasing number of resources available about heritage conservation are the various videos from webinars and other events. For example, the NCC hosts the NCC Urbanism Lab – which the School students regularly attend (see Banner image above).
This Compendium of key references in the field of heritage conservation, with a particular focus on its development and evolution in Canada was compiled by the late professor Herb Stovel, who taught at the School from 2004 to 2012.
