November 7, 2025

Time to read: 2 minutes

Dear members of the Carleton community,

Further to our earlier announcement regarding the establishment of the Presidential and Provostial Task Force on Community Healing, Rebuilding and Belonging (CHRB), we are pleased to share that the membership of the Task Force has been finalized.

The Task Force brings together representatives from across the Carleton community — faculty, staff, students and governance bodies — with support from Indigenous Elders. Together, they will advance our shared commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, academic freedom and belonging at Carleton.

Professional expertise will be provided by Richard Sinclair (Office of University Legal Services) and Noël Badiou (Equity and Inclusive Communities), complemented by administrative support from staff in the Office of Quality Initiatives and the Department of University Communications.

We extend our sincere thanks to all members of the Task Force, the Elders and the rest of the team for their leadership and commitment to fostering a campus culture and community where everyone feels safe, respected and that they belong.

We look forward to everyone’s cooperation with the Task Force as it begins its work later this month.
