The Korean Government Scholarship Program (GKS) is designed to provide higher educational opportunities for international students in Korea, with the aim of promoting international exchange in education, as well as mutual friendship amongst the participating countries.

This Scholarship Program invites 6 Canadian nationals for the “2019 Global Korean Government Scholarship Program” to be completed in Korea during 2019-2023 academic terms.

  • 3 scholarships will be reserved for Canadian nationals (all provinces/territories excluding Quebec)
  • 2 scholarships will be reserved for residents of Quebec
  • 1 scholarship will be reserved for an ‘Overseas Korean’

’Overseas Korean’ refers to an ethnic Korean who does not possess Korean citizenship. It comprises Korean adoptees and offspring of the Korean diaspora or Korean immigrants who live in countries outside the Korean Peninsula.

Applicants must apply for this Scholarship Program through the Korean Embassy in Canada. Only the selected candidates will be notified.

The deadline for the application is March 22, 2019. (Please take into account postage delivery.)
