The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (in Japanese: Monbukagakusho, English acronym: MEXT) offers scholarships to Canadian students wishing to pursue their studies at a Japanese university. The scholarship is for students to earn an undergraduate or Master’s degree.
The Scholarship Covers:
1. Full tuition
2. Monthly allowance
3. Round-trip flight between Canada and Japan
4. Japanese language training
Students send their applications directly to the Embassy of Japan in Canada. The deadline for research students is May 15th, and for undergraduate students May 26th.
