Where is the summit taking place?

The CICP Data Summit will be taking place in Richcraft Hall (second floor, Conference Rooms 2220-2224-2228) at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. For those who are not able to join us in-person, the event will be live-streamed online (registration required to receive link).

Where can I register to attend the event?

Registration for our 2024 Data Summit is now closed. Registration for our 2025 event will be announced at a later date.

Where can I park on campus?

Visitor parking is available across campus. The closest parking lots to the event are P16 , P2, and P9. Guests can pay at the machines located in the visitor parking lots or through the HotSpot mobile app. Please see below for the campus map.

Note: P16 is located under Richcraft Hall, where the conference is located.

I am taking public transportation to the event, how do I get to campus?

Ottawa transportation services has buses and trains that will bring you directly to the Carleton University Campus. To plan your trip please use the following link for train and bus routes.

I’m coming from out of town, where can I stay before or after the event?

If you’re joining us from out of town and require lodging, please note that the CICP does not provide accommodation plans or assistance to event attendees. However, we’ve compiled a list of nearby accommodations close to Carleton University for your convenience. We recommend securing your accommodations as early as possible to ensure a comfortable stay.

Please keep an eye on your email as we will be sending links in the days leading up to the event.

Will the event be in French?

The summit will be hosted in English. Guests are encouraged to ask questions in French if preferred, and a team member will be able to respond. For guests joining us online, French transcripts are available. See below for instruction to enable live transcripts.

  1. Next to the Show Captions button, click the up caret button
  2. Under the Translate to section of the menu, click on the language you want the captions translated to.
  3. Click the More option to see more available languages.
  4. Once a different language is chosen, the captions will be generated and translated into that language for you. Other participants can choose a language for their captions independently of your chosen language.

I would like to attend but the cost is a barrier, can I still participate?

We at the CICP pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and accessible space. Please contact our team for more information. Please note that there is no cost to join the live-streamed sessions.
