Funding Value and Duration

The Foundation does not specify a maximum level of funding; however, typical grant requests have been between $15K to CAD 80K.

Overview

Donations are made to charitable and educational organizations in Canada with a significant emphasis on projects of aeronautical engineering education and research, aviation history and libraries, and wildlife research, conservation, and habitat. NOTE: Donations will not be made to individuals; CORIS will submit all applications on behalf of applicants received by Sept 25, 2023 (see requirements by clicking HERE).

NOTE: Individual 4-page max applications (see requirements here) must be submitted by email to CORISFoundations@cunet.carleton.ca by Sept 25, 2023. These will be formatted, proofed, and inserted into letterhead. CORIS will then submit all applications as a package on your behalf. CORIS will also prepare the cover letter, including the organization’s background, objectives, and activities for all applications.

Eligibility Criteria

The Foundation provides donations for ‘projects’ – not continuing ‘programs.’ Donations are made to institutions on the assumption that all of the donation funds will be expended on the approved project. It is expected that indirect costs related to the project will be provided by the Institution. View sample projects HERE that have been supported by the Kenneth M Molson Foundation in the past.
